Day 9 at PROMOTE 2026 continued to deliver valuable experiences for visitors, exhibitors, entrepreneurs, and institutions gathered at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere remained positive and welcoming. Smiles could be seen on the faces of exhibitors and visitors alike, reflecting the enthusiasm that has characterized the event throughout its duration.
One of the highlights of the day was an interview and discussion on the transformation and recycling of plastic and metal materials. The presentation provided valuable insights into how waste materials can be converted into useful products, contributing to environmental sustainability and economic development.
Compared to previous days, visitor attendance appeared to be slightly lower. However, the quality of interactions remained high. Exhibitors took more time to explain their products, services, and innovations in detail, creating a richer learning experience for attendees.
Throughout the exhibition, many exhibitors conducted demonstrations and practical experiments to help visitors better understand their products and technologies. These hands-on explanations made the experience both educational and engaging.
We also had the opportunity to meet representatives from Gulfincam and learn more about their activities and contributions within their sector.
The military exhibition continued to attract significant attention. Beyond showcasing their equipment and tools, military representatives engaged visitors through educational demonstrations and entertainment activities, including cultural performances and dance presentations. Their ability to combine education, engagement, and professionalism made their stand one of the most memorable attractions of the day.
Another notable observation was the growing presence of institutions focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Several organizations showcased their initiatives in these emerging fields and expressed interest in potential partnerships, highlighting the increasing importance of advanced technologies in shaping the future.
Among the busiest exhibition stands were those of Afriland Bank and MTN. These stands consistently attracted large numbers of visitors, demonstrating strong public interest in financial services, telecommunications, and digital solutions.

The military stand also stood out for the depth of its presentations. Representatives provided detailed explanations about their equipment, operations, and technological capabilities, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of their work.
Automobile companies and vehicle dealers continued to showcase their products and services, offering demonstrations and engaging directly with potential customers interested in modern transportation solutions.
Overall, Day 9 was characterized by learning, innovation, and meaningful conversations. While visitor numbers may have been slightly lower than earlier days, the quality of engagement remained strong. The day reinforced the importance of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation in driving economic and technological progress.
As PROMOTE 2026 continues, it remains a powerful platform for connecting people, ideas, businesses, and opportunities that can contribute to the future growth of Cameroon and Africa.
